ABOUT US
MediDrop aims to increase efficiency, reduce risk and simplify costs for pharmacies, especially in a challenging time of new demands with social isolation orders, individual customer needs, and a significant requirement of auditable information for government reimbursement.
MediDrop’s founder is a qualified, practising pharmacist who has recognised the need for better integration of technology into the operation and management of pharmacy outlets. Having gained a deep understanding of how pharmacies operate after working for many pharmacies across Perth, he identified areas which could benefit most from the use of systems tailored to pharmacies, including systems that integrate different aspects of a typical retail business, such as dispensary, payment and delivery.
When the Coronavirus pandemic struck, he immediately saw the need for pharmacies to improve and streamline their home delivery models, leading to the development of MediDrop. Recognising that pharmacy staff may not always be available for urgent deliveries, he implemented systems to efficiently integrate with Australia Post MyPost Business, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery of medications to those in need.
With so much of pharmacists’ time and focus on reimbursement from Federal entities, MediDrop facilitates the claiming of funds and creates permanent records and audit trails to protect pharmacists from inadvertently making erroneous claims.
MediDrop is undergoing rapid development and improvement in order to assist pharmacists, not only to support the industry during the COVID crisis but also beyond.
